Do I have to be vegan to stay at Haye Cornwall?
You don’t have to be vegan to stay here! In fact, we welcome omnivores and vegetarians who are vegan-curious and would like to know more about animals, or those who think maybe a plant-based lifestyle could work for them. What better way to start than on a relaxing holiday surrounded by animals where all profits go towards their care.
We just ask that out of respect for our resident animals, you don’t bring animal products on site please.
We’re happy to suggest plant based options for your favourite foods and to answer any questions you have about veganism
Can I bring my dog?
Much as we would love to meet your pooch, our resident animals would be a lot less enthusiastic, so please leave your dog with their favourite sitter when you visit.
Can I camp or park my van at Haye Cornwall?
We rely on people staying in the cottage or joining one of our vegan wellness retreats to be able to support the rescue pig, sheep, chickens, donkeys, and ponies who live here, so if you’d like to visit, these are the best ways to support us.
Can I volunteer at Haye Cornwall?
At the moment we provide paid work for local people and work experience for Duchy College students.
I’m only one person, do you have just a room I can stay in?
At the moment we can only offer the cottage, which sleeps up to 6. We don’t mind if you have it all to yourself though!
You might prefer to join one of our organised holidays – you can see more here.
Are children welcome at Haye Cornwall?
Absolutely! We love introducing children to the animals and showing how we care for them and a private holiday in the cottage is a perfect family break , with lots of opportunities to spend time with the animals, explore our land, jump on the trampoline, or use as a base to see the rest of this lovely part of Cornwall.
At the moment, our vegan wellness retreats and organised breaks are suitable for over-18s.
Can I visit just for a day?
We rely on people staying in the cottage or joining one of our vegan wellness retreats to be able to support the rescue pig, sheep, chickens, donkeys, and ponies who live here. So if you’d like to visit, these are the best ways to support us.
Is it possible to stay at Haye Cornwall without a car?
Liskeard and Plymouth train and bus stations both have excellent connections, but you will need to pre-book a taxi from the station well in advance.
Newquay Airport is one hour away and you can pre-book a taxi to pick you up.
We are in the middle of nowhere, with no shops, pubs, or places to eat within walking distance so you will need to bring all your food and supplies.
You can rent a car from Plymouth or Newquay Airport.
