We love sharing our animals, telling their stories and explaining how we take care of them. When you stay with us you can help feed our rescue donkeys, ponies, chickens, and Buddy the pig, join in with looking after everyone, and learn how we use positive reinforcement training to enrich their lives.
Apple Store Cottage is a bright and airy former apple store attached to our 16th century farmhouse, nestled in a peaceful valley.
The cottage has two double bedrooms and a third bedroom with twin beds. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a wealth of original features such as exposed beams and stonework.
The WiFi is fibre-to-home and has strong connectivity throughout the cottage. The cottage has its own parking and a private entrance that guests access via a raised terrace that is for your exclusive use.

You are also very welcome to make yourself at home in the garden and make full use of the eating areas, woodburner, comfy chairs, wildlife pond, orchard, and views across our meadows and hill. For energetic adults and kids, there is an outsized trampoline.
Apple Store Cottage is surrounded by green fields and quiet lanes. The tiny village of Quethiock, which has a pop up post office once a week and a beautiful medieval church, is a lovely destination for a walk. Further afield, Liskeard has a variety of high street and independent shops, plus chemists, cafes, and pubs.
You’re within 25 minutes of several beaches – from wild and unspoilt, to beaches with cafes and wetsuit hire. Nearby you can also visit Adrenalin Quarry, the Cheesewring, Golitha Falls, the Hurlers, Carnglaze Caverns, Minions, Bodmin Moor and Jail, Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary, and Siblyback Lake.
Please note, there is fast WiFi but no TV at the cottage and no washing machine. The laundrette 15 minutes away in Liskeard provides same-day service washes.

I have just come back from hosting a yoga retreat at Haye Cornwall, and I cannot recommend this place enough. Kate and Phil are so welcoming, do so much to make it special for each guest and the food is incredible! It is a place of absolute serenity!!! Everyone must visit.
I’ve just spent a weekend in a yoga retreat at Haye Cornwall.Kate and Phil work so hard to create a stunning environment , enabling them to run the animal sanctuary there.The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and more besides.The farm is in a remote, beautiful location enabling total peace and quiet.Kate’s cooking is fabulous. Lots of little treats too during our fully catered weekend.Would totally recommend Haye to anyone wanting a complete de-stress or just a lovely family break.Thank you Kate and Phil- I wish you continued success enabling your beautiful animals to stay safe and well cared for .
Stayed a few nights for a photography trip in the area. The cottage felt like home away from home. Beautiful place, away from all the noise, perfect to look at the stars. Phil and Kate were great hosts and took the time to show us the farm and their work. Passionate and committed people. Everything was perfect. Already missing my furry friends, Harvie and Zippy.
Just enjoyed the most beautiful weekend retreat at Haye Cornwall and can't recommend it highly enough. Kate and Phil have obviously put in an enormous amount of thought, effort and love in creating a sanctuary for animals and for the humans they allow to come and share it! They couldn't have been more welcoming and it was so heartwarming to see how much they care for their animals. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish and I hope to be back soon!
A wonderful weekend at Haye Cornwall. Kate and Phil are the best of the best. SO kind, SO genuine and SO attentive. Beautiful cottage, beautiful experience, beautiful animals and beautiful people. Lots of little touches which made the stay even better. I will be back 🙂
Just had the most wonderful retreat at Haye Cornwall which provided, for me, the perfect combination of a vegan animal rescue AND an holistic yoga/soundbath/aromatherapy fest! Kate and Phil, the Rescue owners and facilitators could not have been lovelier or more helpful; the animals more gorgeous or the surroundins or food and better. Highly recommended for healing/recharge/a health-filled break!
This place exceeded all of my expectations (which were high). Firstly, Kate and Phil are incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating, you can see how they truly care for the animals and the sanctuary and go above and beyond for them. I did the yoga retreat which had a little bit more of a wellness focus with aromatherapy, sound baths and meditation, the classes were really unique and enjoyable. The other activities included meeting the animals and feeding the donkeys, going for a walk on the grounds with Harvey the dog. The cottage was clean and cosy with lots of fruit and breakfast foods provided, for lunch and dinner we had delicious homemade vegan food. The groups of retreat goers are small at only 6 which was the perfect amount as it was really great to meet likeminded people and created a lovely community feel. It was my best weekend of the year so far and probably will be all year, I felt relaxed, rested, calm and safe there. Would 100% recommend having an unforgettable weekend there and helping to fund the rescues.

I've attended two weekend retreats here now and will most definitely be going again. The accommodation is gorgeous, the hosts are just so lovely, the food is exceptional, the yoga, sound baths etc are relaxing and/or revitalising and the icing on the cake is the animals 🥰Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I would highly recommend Haye Cornwall. I have just enjoyed the most nurturing and relaxing vegan yoga retreat. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. The massage from Maria was incredible, Bre’s yoga sessions were great for body and soul and spending time with Kate, Phil, Anna and the animals was incredible. They are a happy and welcoming crew, couldn’t do enough for us all. I will definitely be back. Totally in love with Buddy the pig.
What a FABULOUS weekend. This gorgeous cottage tucked away from busy life was the perfect stay - we couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful. There really is too much to list - the warmest welcome from Kate, Phil & Harvey and a tour of the land and all of their rescue animals; the ponies, donkeys, chickens, cats and pig!The cottage interior is stunning, wild flowers and rooms with views over the valley. Outside space galore with so much, close by. In all honesty, you don't have to venture far, we didn't leave all weekend - lapping up with fresh air, no noise and soaking in the love & benefits you get from being out in nature & around animals. Kate & Phil couldn't do enough for us all - the homemade bread & butter was delightful too!We can't wait to visit again, it truly was the perfect weekend, thank you so much.
I totally recommend it. Kate & Phil are lovely humans with beautiful and kind souls. They make us to feel at home.The Apple Store cottage was magical, peaceful and very comfy. The painstaking decoration right down to the last detail.All the food was vegan 🌱 and cooked by them, everything was delicious, my favourite was the lasagna, it was amazing.My favourite part of this lovely weekend, it was to meet and spend time with the rest of the residents or furry family. All of them have my heart forever 💚. Harvey (the dog) is lovely, always looking for cuddles. 3 cats very friendly Alfie, Olivia & Marcel. I felt in love with the donkeys 🫏: Zippy, Coco & Woody. The ponies May and Grace. The cutest Princess 🐔 I love how she walks and runs and the rest of the girls 🐔 and Bob the cockerel .I will be back soon 💚🌱🦊
A Truly Special Experience – Highly Recommend!This place is something truly magical. From the moment we arrived, Kate and Phil's dedication to animals, people, and the environment was so clear. My friends and I had the pleasure of staying at their cosy cottage for the weekend, enjoying all that Cornwall has to offer – from a thrilling day at a ex quarry, turned adrenaline fuelled water park to peaceful wild swimming along the Cornish coast.Kate's vegan meals were absolutely delicious, and spending time with their rescue animals was unforgettable. You can really feel how much they care about what they do.This isn’t just a retreat – it’s a chance to unwind, connect with nature, and leave feeling inspired. I can’t recommend it enough!
We wanted a relaxing space to rest our heads after travelling for a family funeral & couldn't have chosen better if we'd tried! It's an absolute gem.Not only does it offer beautiful, well thought out, comfortable living accommodation, sitting in the most idyllic location, it also offers a magical peace & tranquility, therapy, a place to heal & learn. I only wanted a bed but found so much more- did not want to leave!As well as Kate & Phil, our wonderful hosts, we were also very privileged to enjoy the company of their extended family, the furry & feathered kind; Harvey the dog, Olivia, Marcel & Alfie the cats, Woody, Zippy & Coco, the donkeys, May & Grace, the Dartmoor ponies & Bob the cockerel & his girls - all rescue animals, all now living their best lives, thanks to our human hosts. And if this wasn't enough, we were serenaded by beautiful birdsong throughout our stay.Fans of Mother Nature stay here, you'll not be disappointed - it's magic! We'll be back 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great place and lovely owners. I stayed with UK-photours group. It was very nice to talk to the owners about the animals and local life. Lots of care and attention to detail. Highly recommended.
Stayed here as part of a photo tour with Uk Photo Tours, what an amazing place. The cottage is lovely and comfortable, well equipped with everything you need, Kate and Phil are perfect hosts, extremely friendly and welcoming and they really care about what they do. The animals are amazing and are so well looked after. It was a real pleasure to just sit on the patio and absorb the atmosphere.
I had the most amazing yoga retreat at Haye Cornwall last weekend. We were greeted by the lovely hosts, Kate and Phil who immediately made us so welcome and showed us the beautiful cottage, the grounds and their extended family, all rescued ponies, donkeys, chickens, cats and dog.Then, the lovely Lizzie introduced us to some aromatherapy oils she had made and others. It was interesting to see the different favourites within the group.The following day, after a lie in, we did 3 different yoga classes with the lovely Bre who has the singing voice of an angel and was just awesome. We all picked cards, did a cacao ceremony, wrote some intentions, had a sound bath and burnt our written negative thoughts in a fire pit later on. Bre had made super tasty Ayurvedic food for our meals.Kate took us to meet all the gorgeous animals, told us their stories and what and why they were doing this beautiful but relentless work and Phil took us to the fields around, talking about the regeneration work and so much more. Two beautiful beings who are passionate about what they do with love, care and respect.It was definitely a beautiful yoga retreat with a difference and I will certainly go back as I am already missing every one, especially Zippy, Woody, Coco, the sweet donkeys but really everyone too.Thank you for this wonderful and magical retreat.
I did a yoga retreat at Haye Cornwall last weekend, what a great wellbeing package; aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, cacao and great food. Lovely souls Kate and Phil work so hard to look after the rescue animals and dedicate so much time to visitors, explaining about the animals (donkeys, ponies, chickens, cats and a dog). The accomodation is in the heart of the Cornish countryside, and is beautiful, really well furnished and comfortable and clean. The owners live in the house next door. I had such a lovely time and will be back!
Definitely recommend visiting Haye!Kate and Phil are perfect hosts and are passionate about the work they do on the farm. I loved feeding the donkeys, hearing about May and Grace's rehabilitation, and Harvey was a hit with us all. Such a sweetheart!The food was delicious, and the cottage was beautifully presented...clean, fresh, and welcoming. It is a perfect place to relax.I loved the Pilates classes with Sarah and aromatherapy with Lizzie, and Kates' relaxation class was the perfect end to the day.Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay.I hope we can visit again soon.
I attended a superb Pilates Weekend Retreat at Haye hosted by Kate & Phil. What a magnificent setting for a retreat; a beautiful farmhouse (with 16th century roots) an adjoining cottage and modern studio all surrounded by stunning countryside. The accommodation and facilities at Haye were exceptionally good, the Pilates content was just right; taught by a very knowledgeable, amiable and humorous instructor called Sarah. An Aromatherapy session provided by Lizzie and evening Relaxation sessions by Kate provided balance and variety to the weekend. Added to this was a very interesting walk around the land with Phil who explained a little information on rewilding and shared a few skills in the art of natural fence making.Animal lovers amongst us were in their element petting & feeding some of the rescued animals (donkeys, cats, chickens etc. ) being cared for by this special couple.The vegan food was surprisingly delicious and the homemade bread, jam, butter, fruit juice etc were a bonus.I would definitely recommend this kind of retreat and thank Kate and Phil for providing the opportunity to escape from the humdrum for a weekend of exercise & relaxation. I must add that the other 5 attendees were lovely ladies who added lots of fun and laughter to the incredibly interesting and enjoyable weekend.I would definitely consider revisiting Haye either for another course or a holiday.
I loved this short break. I was only there briefly -due to family commitments-but I honestly felt like I had a had a proper holiday. I was so relaxed when I left. It was wonderful to see the animals, and how Kate and Phil care for them. The surrounding countryside, calming. I am not a vegan but the food was satisfying, fresh and tasty. The studio was peaceful and friendly. Total blissed out!!I thoroughly recommend this for anyone who needs to relax. Here you will find peace and calm and return to your busy life feeling better.
Highly recommend. Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting. Relaxing, yet informative. The food was surprisingly delicious and the animals endearing. Definitely a place to go back to for peace and tranquility.

We had a lovely stay at Haye Farm over Christmas. The cottage was beautifully presented, and we were welcomed by freshly made bread and vegan butter. Kate and Phil were wonderful hosts, helping us with any question or need we had. Would thoroughly recommend!
We were warmly greeted with tasty fresh bread and homemade vegan butter. The cottage was very well presented, super clean and had everything we needed.We really enjoyed getting up close with the rescue hens and donkeys. In the summer I can imagine making use of the big outdoor space.Thanks!
It is a quiet, pretty and peaceful place in Cornwall. Comfortable bed, big bathroom, nice decorated living room and well equipped kitchen that I had good and relaxing time in the cottage. The friendly farm owners, Kate & Phil together with their rescued animals including donkeys, horses, chickens, dog and cat gave us very warm welcome. This is a place suitable for family as well as a group of friends to enjoy the beauty of Bodmin Moor and Cornwall in a leisure way.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday in Cornwall, and we spent the first week at Apple Store Cottage at Haye Cornwall. What a gorgeous place this is!!We absolutely loved spending the week helping to look after the animals: three donkeys, two ponies, ten chickens, and a rescue dog and three cats. The eldest of our two boys (aged 7) was so keen that he dragged me out of bed at 6:30am in the mornings so we could help Kate with the morning routine!The cottage is in the middle of the most beautiful countryside - incredibly tranquil and peaceful. It’s far away enough from towns to feel remote and a proper escape from the daily grind, whilst being close enough to loads of fantastic attractions that it was easy to go out for the day and we were spoiled for choice!We were welcomed by Kate and Phil with homemade vegan bread and vegan butter, and couldn’t have asked for friendlier hosts! We had such a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend it!💚💚🌱🌱
So zen, so beautiful, so far away from the maddening crowd. I stayed here while on a 5 days UK Photo Tours workshop and I really had a wonderful, relaxing time. Out of the beaten path, surrounded by nature, peaceful and comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and with all the required amenities, the cottage is particularly welcoming, as is Kate and Phil as they introduced us to their rescued and visiting animals, shared their plans for the future and spoiled us with extremely fresh eggs from their chickens every day. A special shout out to their ever young, sweet and cuddly dog!
